New section on my website: Licensing

I have some requests, from time to time, from publishers or record labels in need of getting some artwork done for their books, or upcoming heavy metal album releases. I'm not really taking commissioned work anymore, or very rarely. I've been doing it for over three decades (!!!), with my first book covers made around 1988. I did books, novels, magazines, then record album covers, advertising campaigns, corporate work, and so on. I've been in a lot of fields, see my album covers art book Death Metal Artwork and the Panorama book series.

When someone reaches out for a commission, I always politely decline. I just no longer have the patience to go thru all the stages involved in such commission. Client meetings, sketches, color studies, follow guidelines, create the final painting and handle all the corrections that always follow. That's how it works, it's standard, but I'm done. Been there, done that!

However, I still draw and paint, a lot! Passion for art is certainly still alive and well in me. I just work on my own stuff, personal paintings, artwork and subjects I'm in the mood to paint, with no pressure, no deadline, no clients looking over my shoulder to see how the painting's coming along.

And I'm still in the same universe as I've always been: fantastic art, surrealism, horror and science fiction. The good stuff!

I created a section on my website where I will upload paintings that would be available to be used as book cover or album cover. I may no longer take commissioned work, but if a publisher or a record label / metal band finds in this gallery something suitable for their needs, I say, why not!

It's a great way for publishers to get their book cover delivered quickly, while paying much less than commissioning me for a custom painting. The artwork is already done, and the high resolution file is ready to be delivered.
